The Department of Enterprise Organisations specialises in the management of industrial enterprises with a particular emphasis on computer-integrated manufacturing, which includes the design and organization of production systems and integrated production management solutions. The research also includes creating models for production systems, like simulation modelling, queuing systems, neural networks, expert systems, and optimisation models, along with developing information systems for connecting businesses, designing databases, and managing production.
The Department also conducts research in innovation management, including the economics, development, transfer, and marketing of innovation, as well as project management in the business, public, and non-profit sectors. It also focuses on the analysis and methods of organisational improvement, project management, technical production support systems, knowledge management implementation, and the impact of technological innovations on organisational change, with a particular emphasis on building creative and learning-oriented enterprises for the future.
